Having done 9 B&Bs on the trot before we got to this one, I can confirm that this had the best breakfast of the lot. The view from the breakfast room was also amazing. Our room was lovely and the hosts very welcoming.
Nice location, stunning view out of the dining room window, looking out over Richmond - amazing. Rooms were lovely and big, very comfortable, but the bathroom was shared, which wasn't a big problem. We ate out and left early, so didn't sample the food, but the staff were very good. Nice place.

After arriving soaked from our hike, Mick and Rachel greeted us warmly, drying our boots and showing us to our room. It was at the rear of the building with a magnificent view over Richmond. The room was superb and their additional touches ( welcome chocolate) show how much they care about their guests. The view from the breakfast room is wonderful, as was the breakfast and packed lunch they prepared. Thanks R + M for all your extra efforts.

What started off as ‘just a place to stay’ is now somewhere we look forward to returning as often as possible. When a friend moved to a pub in the local area (The Shin Inn) we wanted to visit. A room at 66 Frenchgate was booked for us with an assurance it would be lovely. This was a complete understatement. Mick and Rachel are the most friendly, down to earth, helpful and general nicest set of B&B owners we have ever come across. Being a young couple, we wondered if they would worry about how we would be as guests returning from an afternoon/ evening of drinking, this has never been the case. Even when a large group of us stayed for a birthday, they could not have been more accommodating to all 9 guests staying that particular time. Initially we planned to visit the friend in his pub, explore the area, wondering how many times we would make the 2 hour journey. We have completely fallen in love with Richmond, and within a space of 18 months have visited approximately 5 times. Mick and Rachel have contributed massively to our love of Richmond through their kindness, generosity and warm welcome. See you next time! The kids x
Fabulous guest house. Rachel was very welcoming and even did us a laundry wash to refresh our walking socks etc. Room was comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast and the packed lunch for our next day walking was epic! Thanks Rachel & Mike. Highly recommend! Stuart & Richard
